The Good Gut™ Group has launched it’s flagship product Good Gut™ Bread in Australia and it is fast building a keen following. Our Good Gut™ Bread Mix is now available at Go Vita Forster, with other outlets to be added soon. Good Gut™ Bread will be available soon, once further product trials have been completed.

FODMAPs

Those suffering IBS can look towards a low FODMAP diet to improve their symptoms. Our products ensure that sufferers who have in the past being on a gluten-free diet to help with IBS issues can now enjoy wheat containing foods without the associated discomfort.

Good Gut™ Pasta

For those people with IBS or who bloat when they eat too much wheat there is now a choice – Good Gut™ Pasta. Our newly developed pasta recipe allows those following a low FODMAP diet to enjoy al dente pasta with the whole family.

What is IBS?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common functional gastrointestinal disorder affecting one in seven adults. It can be recognised by one or more of the following symptoms:

– abdominal (gut) pain and discomfort
– wind (burping or flatulence)
– abdominal distension (bloating)
– altered bowel habits (ranging from diarrhoea to constipation, or alternating between the two).

What are FODMAPs

FODMAPs – What Are They?

FODMAP is an acronym to explain the carbohydrate (various types of sugars) found in some food which can be poorly absorbed by some people, particularly those suffering from IBS.  These FODMAPs are not well absorbed in the small intestine and pass through to the large intestine.

Pilot Study

Using our technology, taste panel testing with 20 IBS participants has shown excellent acceptability in terms of taste, texture and storage. Our product was extremely well tolerated by IBS sufferers in this initial pilot trial.
